Ring Sizes

Finger sizes in South Africa are measured on a scale using the alphabet, A-Z with  half sizes in between each letter. Eg, A, A 1/2, B B1/2 etc.

The best way to get an accurate finger size is to make an appointment with us so we can discuss which finger you would like to wear your ring on and we can take an accurate measurement from there. If you cannot get to us, the next best option is to visit a jeweller in your closest mall and ask them to measure it for you with their special finger sizing tool.

If you can’t get to a store then the best way to do it from home is to cut a strip of cardboard about the width and thickness that you would like your ring to be and wrap it around the finger you want to measure. Use a marker and at the spot where the cardboard overlaps make a mark on both pieces.

Take the cardboard and lay it flat along the edge of a ruler, measuring from pen mark to pen mark. This will give you the inner circumference for the ring. We can use this measurement and convert it to the corresponding letter size.

Disclaimer: we unfortunately cannot be held responsible for sizes which are taken incorrectly; rings will be made to the size given and any adjustments made after the fact will be charged for.

To maintain the structural integrity of the ring some rings may not be able to be resized, or may not be able to be sized more than a few sizes up or down.
